Connecting HDMI television to Mageia

I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre m90z all-in-one graphics tablet dual-booting Win7 and Mageia v. 4. The ThinkCentre is all Intel, including an Intel Integrated Graphics Controller (rev. 18).

The ThinkCentre has a DisplayPort output; with a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter, I have successfully connected it to my Element brand TV via the television's HDMI input number one (it has three HDMI input ports) under Windows, so that I can extend or clone my display to the television set. I would like to do the same with the Mageia side of the computer.

I nosed around the Mageia Control Center yesterday. Mageia did not seem to sense the television and I could not find how to instruct it to do so. A web search turned up nothing useful.

Can anyone point me to some useful links as to how to clone the monitor to the television?

I don't have an answer but have you tried Mageia's IRC channel on Freenode? Just a thought!

Thanks for the suggestions. If nothing turns up here in a day or two, I'll follow your advice; if I get an answer, I shall certainly report back.

You can configure a dual monitor setup using KDE System Setting > Display and Monitor.
