Thumbs down Why was this thread marked as a duplicate of another?

Thread in question was http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...rk-4175576160/

Thread claimed to the one for which that is a duplicate is http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...rk-4175575608/

Come on:
  1. I don't know that these two are having the same problem.
  2. The mod who closed that thread doesn't know that to be the case either. If he does, then maybe he can provide the solution.
  3. The "original" thread is owned by someone who isn't using Slackware any more and is answering questions about his problem because he is a nice person. Or because he would prefer to use Slackware but can't due to his Bluetooth problem.
  4. I can't ask CL4H about his setup without confusing the issue with nivieru's setup.

I disagree with that decision and believe that CL4H's be un-closed. I think the Slackware community is more than capable of steering someone to a related thread if needed.

The thread is a duplicate but I failed to correct the bad link. I am sorry for the confusion.

The open thread still deserves to be in the slackware forum.

A private message to the Moderator in question usually resolves these issues very quickly. "What Gods can do, Gods can also graciously undo."

After all, everyone makes misteaks. Especially when they are striving to herd cats manage hundreds or thousands of new posts every day.

(P.S.: Keep up the great work, folks ... we do appreciate you, and your hard work on our behalf.)
