"What Programs..." board?

The "What programs would you like to see ported to Linux" thread under the "Linux - Software" board now has over 2,000 posts in a single unorganised thread. This is too much for most users to read in one sitting, and near impossible to follow all the subjects raised in this thread when requests and discussion of individual requests are all mixed together without any structure.

We really need a separate board for this paticularly popular topic, so that each program request can be made in a separate thread, and that request can be discussed in that thread.

I disagree. sure it's long and not fun to read in one sitting, but it doesn't need it's own forum. Have you seen the tagging feature? You could tag a new thread for, say, some program, and then tag it port+request - it's really simple.

I guess the original intent of the thread was just to have program suggestions, not disscussion. Since some of the stuff might be old and irrelevant, perhaps you could start a new thread with the program you want ported, and why.

please disregard bluntness, I don't want to make a long rambling post.
