Dayum! I seem to have revived this ol' thread.

@allend said, "Just be aware that such a string causes Google ReCAPTCHA to break with an unsupported browser message.
This can be annoying when using a website that requires ReCAPTCHA."

Indeed, yes. I am aware that modifying the useragent can create some funny bugs on some websites. So far, I've only experienced one on another tech forum I participate in, but a quick edit of the useragent string fixed that.

Thanks, allend!

Yes, ReCAPTCHA is not as common these days. I hit it on a few sites last year when negotiating the medical system for some minor surgery.

Unfortunately, useragent is bit weird in FF 90.x. Sometimes, it shows up here, other times not. I had to modify it so that the bug that I was experiencing at Scot's Newsletter Forums -> Bruno's All Things Linux would get corrected. That modification seems to have disabled the Slackware logo in my posts here, though. Oh, well... I'll just have to live with it, I s'pose.

Fresh post, maybe?

NOPE.

Hey MODs... feel free to delete these test posts, and sorry.
