What about a sub-forum for NS (network simulator)

I don't know if it has been proposed before. Couldn't find any references in search.

The point is that I run into NS related question in several forums.

Although I'm not sure if it should be a sub-forum in programming or networking.

Any thoughts about it?

Cheers

The ns2 software has a place in Linux - Software

.. Just like any other software.
( The ns2 threads are most often tagged with <protocol> and are easy to find.)

Might be that the idea is that ns questions should end up in the software forum, but often enough they end up in other places like http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...on-4175457615/. Which turned out after some extra digging around to be about ns. That's why I was asking about a seperate ns forum.

Cheers

There is nothing special about ns2.

It's just one of the not so well known "other software",
that you will have to compile yourself.

There are ten thousands of special software.
Also scattered in several Forum's.

Thanks for the feedback. We have no plans to add a dedicated subforum for ns2 at this time. We're fairly selective when it comes to adding new fora and this topic is not broad enough or active enough to justify such action. Thanks for the feedback.
