The post number reflects the current posts of a user, I think. It should be answered either with the bbs faq button or at the vBulletin home page. My first post shows the same number for me as this one.

Really? Mine don't always register right away, but they do move up, especially as days pass. I guess the reason I posted this was because the poster in question was asking some pretty bizarre questions with 25 "official" posts and much larger number of posts from using 'search'. Not that I'm particularly paranoid, but the MS troller thing makes me wonder, especially when some posts are particularly vague, as if the question asker doesn't really want an answer.

No, not particularly. Repeatedly would be a better term.
