Do you really mean to say that you get the option to upload
from your computer when you click the image icon in the quick
reply window?

The attachment manager was used in the post he linked to.

He pointed the first post of this thread: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ck-4175489585/

There the images are in between the text.
I have just now used the attachment option and attached a picture
just to see how it works.

(I saw preview) It doesn't look embedded between the text.
Is there some other way of using the attachment option which I
may not be knowing?

By attachment button I guess you meant the paper clip icon.
That is what I used in the previous post, but in this post I
have used the BB code. [attach]attachID[/attach]

Okay I am still not able to use it.

EDIT

Got it now.
First attach the pic with attachment icon and then use the BB code.

I always the full editor. When I want to upload an image, I use the Manage Attachments option. Quick reply does not have that option? Not a surprise. Quick Reply is called quick reply for a reason.

Yes from the inserted image, it's clear that you got the way but I haven't yet.
Where is BB code? Also this method for inserting is available in Linux hardware forum also?

Where is BB code?
The points to be noted are:
  1. This facility is available only through the advanced text
    editor.
  2. You need to first attach the picture by the attachment
    option.
  3. See the "Additional options" box below your editor. You'll
see the name of the image written above the "Manage
    Attachments" link.
  4. Hover your mouse over the image name and read the url
which appears at the bottom of that screen. You'll see a
text in the url named "attachmentid=1234".
  5. Use the BB code like this:
    Quote:
    [attach]1234[/attach]
wherever you want the image to appear between the text.
  6. For each sub forum, you can scroll down to the bottom
and look for the information box named "Posting Rules "
on the left side to know what does that sub forum support.

I think instead of the long route described in the above post,
this forum could have followed what QtCentre does as shown
in the attachment below:

The process is streamlined (and available via quick reply) in the next version of the code.
