Apparently you haven't searched or read the stickies in our Distribution forum. Now before we repeat ourselves once again, search and you'll find out why we don't have a Gentoo forum.

Regards.

Someone just pointed this thread out to me:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=204030

You may want to post there if you'd like to see an LQ Gentoo forum. I'd prefer that you not create an account there just to post a request, FWIW. If anyone has a contact at Gentoo that is interested, feel free to have them contact me. Thanks.

There really isn't much sense in opening a gentoo forum here.As pointed out the info just gets spread all over this way plus the devs that are very present on the gentoo forums probably got better things to do than monitoring different places all over.
I really don't understand why this comes up all over and over. It's been posted to death like the Suse forum issue.

I'd say there are many benefits to having an LQ forum and the fact that 16 distros now participate with others coming on soon hopefully validates that.

- You get an additional support resource that is active, friendly and maintained
- You get a huge amount of additional exposure free of charge
- It allows the distro to participate in a larger community outside of the distro itself
- You are able to get direct feedback, suggestions and input from a huge userbase
- Many users new to Linux come to LQ when deciding what distro to use
- It exposes users of the distro to things like the LQ reviews section, which is a great way to promote

I could list more I'm sure, but hopefully you get the idea.

ruma, please do not hijack a thread like this. You should start a new thread in the appropriate forum.
