LQ user being unfairly blamed asks for revindication.

I have been told by a moderator, that the thread "Erasing from the cursor up to ...", started by me, has a duplicate. I want to make it clear it has not been my intention. It was the result of having to instances of the browser running, both showing the LQ site. Trust me. It is like I say.

It is some days now that I go to LQ directly from the notification in my email client. As a result, the O.S. opens several windows, and may be I get confused. I think I shall abandon this practice right now.

However, you are in part to blame for that practice. If you look at LinuxQuestions.org > Forums > Linux Forums > Linux - Newbie > A script to copy files, you will see why. Unless the fault is my browser's. Regards.

It makes it much easier if you can kindly link to a thread when referencing it, both to alleviate the potential for ambiguity and to allow other members to easily find the thread. Looking at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-files-846857/ it appears you think you may be having some kind of problem with thread notifications, but you really don't give enough detail for me to tell what the issue is (or if there is one).

Jeremy:
I'll try to be as explicit as possible and concise at the same time. I go to Forums>User Control Panel. If I have just entered your site or, on the contrary, I have been browsing around in LQ before getting into the control panel I do not remember for any specific case.

There I see the window with title "New Subscriptions Threads". Let's suppose it's not empty (i.e. there are some threads in iit). The thread with title (= title of its #1 post) "All's Well that Ends Well" is not in the window. Then I immediately go to My LQ>Subscribed Threads and see a post belonging to that thread has arrived ten minutes ago.

This is what has _sometimes_ happened. During a period of some 30 days, it happened all the time.

Just in case this is not enough information for you, from this very time on I'll keep an eye to every thing that happens while I browse within LQ, taking notes in every step. This way, and with luck, I'll have the whole history from the moment I type LQ's URL. Regards.
