LQ Member Blogs

I know that the LQ member blogs is a little used feature. I've posted to mine only once, and, to be honest, I recycled a post from my own blog because I felt it was on-topic here.

As I did that, I found myself thinking that I would like to pay more attention to member blogs, since so many persons here have so much to say, which leads me to my question: Is there some way to aggregate members' new blog posts to an RSS feed? Would that be even feasible?

If it could be done, I for one would subscribe to it.

Just a wonder.

LQ Member Blogs

In the LQ android app, I just sort by "Blogs" and the most recent blog posts are listed. I usually only read the blogs when I'm on my phone.

I had never read a blog on this site until another longterm member mentioned he had added an entry.
Sort of "out of sight, out of mind".

Not that I follow blogs anyway.

Never read blogs, looked once, but found them to be full of useless drivel to my mind.

Most of the time on LQ this is the case. Sometimes a member will post an interesting bit about a topic that interests me.

There is a main RSS feed that includes all blogs, and individual blogs have their own feed. Both can be found in the lefthand nav.

Would that be the "Latest threads"? I actually pull that into the Xscreensaver "Star Wars" screensaver for maximum geekiness. Guess I'll subscribe to it tonight and see what happens.

And, as I've said many times before, thank you, Jeremy.

It depends very much on the blog. Many of them are indeed little more than Facebook-worthy gibberish. My own, however, is a work of art . . . .

This is from the "Flair for the Obvious" Department and I'm posting it in case it helps someone else.

If I click the LQ blogs link in the sidebar, it by default shows the most recent LQ blog posts.

I will make that part of my regular LQ routine.

I didn't delve deep enough into the site to find this. I only knew about blogs because they have their own section in the LQ Mobile app for android.
