LQ's policy on hardware compatibility threads

Should all threads on hardware compatibility be confined to the HCL? If not, I'd like to post one in one of the other forums (General, I guess) warning that my motherboard is not particularly Linux-friendly. (In addition to my HCL post.)

You should feel free to post about that in General. The HCL is meant to be informational and descriptive, while the forum post could be more conversational.
