Is There A Reason I Can't Stay Logged In?

There seems to be an issue with cookies in LXQ as every time I visit I have to log in all over again.

Did you enable cookies in your browser's settings?

Didn't you instruct your browser to erase all cookies at logout time?

Did you check "remember me" (or whatever it says) whilst logging in?

That's not possible in FF 3.6.8

Your cookie setting should be on the privacy preferences tab in Firefox. Additionally, have you tried visiting the "Having a problem logging in? Please visit this page to clear all LQ-related cookies." link?

It explicitly says "Firefox will keep cookies" in the screenshot you attached to post #6. The link I mentioned is bolded in screenshots 1 and 3 in post #4 and appears on every single page of the site if you're not logged in. The link is: http://www.linuxquestions.org/removecookies.php

Yes this is possible.

Edit => Preferences => Privacy => In the drop-down box under "History" choose "Use custom settings for history"

Then you can manage the cookies.

I must admit I didn't find my way to those settings easily either, but that's how it was designed by Firefox developers
