"Nominal Animal" has made many helpful posts here with lots of example code, but has deleted them due to a (now solved) misunderstanding. Is it possible to restore them, or are they actually gone from the database?
I user couldn't do it, but I suppose theoretically a backup copy may exist of those older posts, which could be retrieved if it absolutely had to be. Though I don't know how I feel about the idea of the LQ management taking the time to sort out some childish Internet drama.
I would have restored my posts earlier, had I realized the Last edited by link leads to the past versions of that post. A big thank you to you, Archtoad6, for bringing that to my attention.
I believe I have now restored all my posts in all threads. It did take me a few hours, since the post history did not retain whitespaces. For
...
sections this meant indentation was lost; I did my best to restore indentation by hand to maximize legibility.
If you notice any posts I may have missed or mis-restored or that just looks odd, please do let me know, so I can fix those too.
