this has been suggested many times, there are reasons why there isn't a live chat, the main one being it's difficult to log live chats in any useful way, which is counter productive to the purpose of this site.
Personally, I hope live chat never happens here. One of the most useful features of LQ (at least to me) is that it leaves a record of the discussion. I rarely have to ask questions here since the vast majority of my confusion can be cleared up by searching. The saved live chat sessions I've stumbled across are never as detailed or easy to follow. I'm sorry, but if you need help so badly you need real-time answers, maybe you should be buying support.
