[SOLVED] Howto turn off banners (ads)

Hi,

I see an increase in ads on the LQ pages. I do understand that this is needed to keep LQ up and running, but I truly dislike them.

One of the options for contributing members is the possibility to turn off banner ads. Only problem is: How and were?

I'm probably overlooking the option, but after looking around and searching for a while and coming up blank I decided to post this thread.

Hope you can help.

After posting this thread I see that I'm not a contributing member anymore???????
Is the auto renew option offline?

FWIW, we've not added a new ad spot in a long time. That being said, for Contributing Members it's an option in the UserCP. Auto renew is still available. If you want details on why your account didn't renew, please contact me offline. Thanks.

Problem solved.

This had nothing to do with extra ads on LQ, I was a non-contributing member for a very short while

there is a slightly disturbing google banner ad- for a game "drug pusher" - it clearly states that it's r-rated but I still think that the ad isn't appropriate for LQ.
