How do you create a forum??
Hey
I want to start hosting my own site through my cable connection... already have the .tk name and everything...
I'm interested in hosting my own forum but have no idea how to go about it... did you guys use the Invision Board software?? or did you develop your own? What database arch. is it on? Probably MySQL eh?
I see that most of these are done with PHP which, I assume, is because it's free and comes with linux... But I don't know PHP yet... though I'm eager to learn... I do know a fair amount about ColdFusion and that's what I use on my box at home...
I guess what I'm trying to ask is if there is someplace that you can get a free forum template... Or if there would be any way (which I'm sure you will just laugh about) to get the source code from the LQ forum so I can see it to understand how it works...
Anybody who can point me in a good direction would be great....
