In fact I'll bet I could add a new entry to "Web Shortcuts" in Konqueror that would automatically search google/linux w/ "site:www.linuxquestions.org " prependied to the search terms.

I already have added one for google/linux, abbreviated "gl:" -- 'http://www.google.com/linux?q=\{@}&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8'

In fact it is so easy, here's the "code":
'http://www.google.com/linux?q=site:www.linuxquestions.org \{@}&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8'
(Omit the single quotes.)

I'm assuming you can figure out / aready know how to use Konqueror settings to add something like this.
