Yo, I want to end my LQ membership, and I searched all the MyLQ pages and still couldn't find a "delete account" button.

So, I'm asking here: How do I delete my account?

Just log out and don't return to the site. You'll probably also want to update your preferences so you don't get any emails. Accounts that have posts associated with them aren't deleted.

LQ owns you and you are now a number in a system that tracks your every move. Okay, I'm kidding. Just stop coming to the site. We don't delete members with posts like mentioned. It would look kind of silly if you started a thread, have replies, then deleted and the replies are orphaned. Same goes for replies to threads, LQ is just a large database of knowledge through it's members posts.

You don't or are not required to give out any personal information to use this site. You chose the username, that's all we know about you here.
