Broken links for certain URLs

Some links are not able to work here. For example, this markup (which itself reqires tricks to render properly):

[url=https://2019.www.torproject.org/docs/tor-onion-service.html.en]an Onion service[/url]
Ends up looking like this:

www.torproject.org/docs/tor-onion-service.html.en]an Onion service[/url]
It seems to be choking on the .www. part.

  1. Does it get munged if wrapped in code tags?
  2. Try unchecking the “Automatically parse links in text” in Additional Options

You can use [noparse][/noparse] tags, slightly less tricky. And using quotes around the url value fixes the problem:
Code:
[url=https://2019.www.torproject.org/docs/tor-onion-service.html.en]an Onion service[/url] =>

www.torproject.org/docs/tor-onion-service.html.en]an Onion service[/url]
Code:
[url="https://2019.www.torproject.org/docs/tor-onion-service.html.en"]an Onion service[/url] =>

an Onion service

Yes, but what would the process be for having LQ's backend process the URL correctly?
