OK I can only see root here as having a reasonable approach to this whole thing. Chris: rightly enough Acid Kewpie but the last thing Linux needs is a test/quiz that frustrates people! GEEZE now? Just as the loss of Red Hat and the idiocy of sco etc! Someone get a watch! this is no time to help open the windows and the Linux Doors at the same time! nuff said

What does our quizzes have to do with Redhat and SCO? Please try to stick to the topic, we don't need random rants in this thread.
The quizzes aren't made to frustrate members but more of a relaxed type fun and entertainment to test your skills. Don't take them too seriously, its not like they are required or your taking them to get certified...
Like at least one other in this thread, I hav never taken the quizzes, because I didn't know they existed. As far as one time only, this is bad for those of us who may be new at Linux! If you take it within days of installing your first distro, and then install another, ask numerous questions, and read lots of documentation, etc., your score would go up from the first one you tried, but you can't do that unless you push up the number of members on the board... You might rewrite the quiz sofware to allow time (as already suggested in another reply), or according to how many times you have posted (you tend to have learned a little with each post or so).
I don't know what is wrong with you people, but I say how I see this.
Its for fun, who cares what score you get? Do people go looking at the scores to tell if someone knows linux? I doubt it. If you want to take it twice to see if you are smarter, do ask tricky boy asked and make another ID.
And are you so anal retentitive you cannot stand having a bad mark in something? Personally I havent done the quizzes, 1: I don't have a clue about anything to do with linux, 2: because i didnt know they exist.
I think there should be some better way at telling people they are there.
OK, I have a comment. I was a bit surprised to see that I could take the quizzes only once, since I would like to use them for checking my own progress. So, for peace and quiet's sake, why not clearly state on the Quizzes page that you can only take them once?
Yes, of course, but I meant that this info would be useful for anyone who has not taken a quiz yet, and therefore would not know this. Just so that it wouldn't come as a surprise, and people get annoyed with it instead. Well, just a thought
Meh. I really dont see someone having a fit over not being told before you take a quiz, which deosnt matter what mark you get, that you can only take it once. Whoop die doo. You take it once, if you want to check, make another account. Simple as that.
I didn't receive a fair score on the LQ test. Sure, I'll admit I didn't know who the first mod was, but I know for a fact "write your own driver and warp the fabric of space-time" was correct. To prove it, I'm now going to travel back in time and retake the test.
