Advanced editor functions: PSE tell us, which JavaScript is needed.
I allow scripts from
linuxquestions.org
datadoghq-browser-agent.com (Amazon?)
thequestionsnetwork.org
but, as you can see (or not), the menu-bars of the LQ editor are without function.
Two suggestions... make that three (again):
1. do not respond to this post with a list of procedures to follow.
2. display the information (in any future version of anything) right where the interested person can make use of it
3. disable or hide or remove the elements concerned from the HTML, if they cannot work anyway with the current browser configuration. I.e. show them only, if the needed routines are available (you know how that works).
TY. Continue.

Is there a question here somewhere? What are you wanting? LQ works without scripts on. The search function does not work too well, use google for that.

This is probably why I cannot use those functions. But I would not have recognized a candidate for this kind of functionality in cloudflare...
Anyway. I do not care. What makes me post is the necessity of trial and error and the assessment of the trouble to accept. Cloudflare? Okay I will do without.
But I would have preferred to be informed beforehand.., or, that those control-elements are not displayed as long as they cannot work.
Oh ok, I don't think that I have ever used those. I always compose a post in a text editor and then copy/paste. I put in the tags manually, code quote b i etc.
Michael Uplawski, I use LQ completely without javascript or any other 3rd party requests.
But my experience was that once you start allowing some javascript, it starts depending on javascript from other sites in such twisted ways that you have to allow much more to get to a working page again.
I guess it's one of those things that are going to get better/fixed in the fabled LQ 2.0...

So do I. It was just that, last week, I had wanted a little facilitation for the formatting of my posts. Usually I can type as much BBCode as is needed by hand.
For longer posts, I might consider converting them from HTML with my own HTML2LQ script and XSL.
But all this is just clutter. My request is actually that we should be informed about what does what and what cannot work under the current conditions, *before* our attempts fail miserably.
