2013 LinuxQuestions.org Members Choice Award Categories
It's almost time for the 2013 LinuxQuestions.org Members Choice Awards. Here is the list of proposed categories for this year. Keep in mind that while we understand that some categories end up containing projects that might not be directly comparable, it's simply not feasible to have enough categories to be all encompassing. If you have suggestions on additions, subtractions or modifications, let us know. I'll be finalizing the list and posting the polls based on feedback from this thread. Note that we are looking to add at least one additional poll and will be using this thread to make that decision.

We plan to post the final categories and nominees tomorrow. One possible addition is Privacy Solution of the Year (or something similar, with Ghostery, NoScript, Disconnect, TrueCrypt and others as possible nominees). Keep the feedback and suggestions coming.

Web Server of the Year was a category last tear, but the poll saw fairly low participation and was not very competitive. With only 30ish polls per year we felt it was best to rotate it out in favor of something else. Based on feedback it's possible we'll bring it back in a future year
