Thumbs up sup everyone

Hey everyone.

My name is Nathan aka NateDog. I am 20 years old and I live in Texas. Linux is freakin' awesome. I would run Linux only but I have too many programs for Windows and games in Windows I don't want to switch yet. I do have WineX that allows u to run games and such that are Windows only but haven't had time to test all my programs. Neways....

I currently have installed Linux Red Hat 9 and tested it and played with it and such. I really like it. If I can get all my programs to work in it I would use Linux only. I have this huge book on using Red Hat 9 and stuff but I haven't read it yet lol. Some people's gifts are music some are sports etc, mine are computers. Don't know what it is I just understand them. Some call me "DATA" lol. I've just always been able to figure stuff out. If I don't know it right now, I say "I'll get it eventually". LOL.

Yeah so neways. I really enjoy just computers in general. I have a side business called Digital Meltdown. But it's not up yet my web host sold the company lol and I had to switch hosts. Neways, I build computers on the side, and I do logo designs and printing media designs like magazines, ads, brochures, etc. I work at a printing company full time - where I am technically the VP / IT admin / anything else lol. I also know MAC OS 9 and MAC OS X.

I'm building a Linux server this week to be our new web, ftp, email and hacker blocker server lol. Wanna see the specs?

AMD64 3200+ (64-Bit processor)
ASUS K8V motherboard
2 - 160Gig SATA Maxtor hard drives
DVD-ROM drive
Pioneer DVD 4X(-+)R/RW burner
1 gig Kingston HyperX DDR 400 RAM
Cool case........

My system I built at home:

AMD64 3200+
ASUS K8V motherboard
120Gig ATA133 7,200RPM hard drive
DVD-ROM drive
Pioneer DVD(-)R/RW
Nvidia GeForce FX 5600 w/ 256MB DDR RAM
CreativeLabs SoundBlaster Audigy Gamer sound card
400 watt Logitech 4.1 surround sound system
18.1" Flat Screen LCD monitor
Liquid Cooled Koolance case
->processor is liquid cooled
->Hard Drive is liquid cooled
->video card is cooled with a Giant II cooler

Neways nuff of that stuff. hehe.

Peace out.

LOL

LOL.......haha man i don't even know lol..........never thought about it........it wasn't all at one time........i've been upgrading through the years...

Let's see.....all at retail costs:
Processor: about $450
RAM: Corsair RAM with heat spreaders: um about $180 or so
Motherboard: $179 when i got it
Hard Drive: about $120 when i got it
Koolance Case: all coolers and everythin' - ended up costing close to $500 when it was all said and done lol........
Video Card: almost $300
Monitor: around $500 from Tiger Direct.com but they don't sell it anymore there.......
Sound Card: around $100 when i got it
Logitech Sound System: about $250 when i got it
DVD-ROM: about $50 when i got it while back
Pioneer DVD Burner: about $250 or so when i got it while back
Then of course i have a router and cable modem but that don't really matter.

So we're talkin' somewhere in the 3 grand range.......LOL........nonetheless.......it kicks butt........

So yeah....i love my computer. It's nice when you build your own. I trust myself more than I do large companies. Besides 9/10 use crap parts and integrated into the motherboard junk. Everything I have is retail. Nothin' less! hehe.

Neways........lol........
