Im new! hello everybody

Hey everyone, just wanting to introduce myself, im new to linux, and i have mandrake 9.1 installed.... i just installed it today, im currently dual booting windows xp and mandrake 9.1 with a crappy computer, but everything runs fine except the internet on mandrake, now i know this has probably been asked thousands of time, but i may need some help with this...

whenever i boot up it goes to the screen that has the passed or failed on the right side and on the left it has what has passed or failed... now whenever it comes down to eth0 it says failed, im thinking thats the reason i can't connect to the internet. if someone would like to help me i would be happy well thanx for some replies (hopefully)

Welcome to LinuxQuestions.

The beauty of these forums is that there are thousands and thousands of post of similar problems and possible solutions, making it an invaluble database of information to help everybody.
I'm sure you can use the search features of this site to find the solution to your problem (it's good etiquette too)

Hope you enjoy Linux!

BTW I have Pearl drums too (But I prefer Paiste cymbals. to each his own) Rock on!
