I installed Amigo Linux on a FAT32 partition. I'm just playing with Linux right now.
I think Amigo Linux is based comes with Slackware 9.1 and Window Maker. I'm going to try installing some small Linux Programs before I try installing Gnome or KDE.
I'm going to read the other forums to learn more about Linux.
I'll try to figure out how to make Linux work with my SoundBlaster 16 PCI card.
What sort of things are you after? I don't know Amigo Linux (but do know Slackware) but I'd guess that the programs are usable on either. And we all love "./configure, make, make install"
I just installed a text editor called Ledit. I like 3D graphics and modeling programs. I'll try installing Blender 3D and PovRay for Linux. I use both programs in Windows 9x. I might install some office programs like Open Office. I already have Open Office for Windows.
I would like to install the Java SDK and a new Window Manager. Later, I'm going to install KDE.
I'm still doing some research to see if my Sound Blaster 16 PCI will work with Linux. If it does, then I'll download some multimedia players and editors.

Linux does recognize my SoundBlaster es1371 card. I think the version of my kernel is 2.4.22. However, the "/dev/sndstat" file is empty. I'll try some solutions I found before I ask for more help. Thanks for the info though.
I was about to download Alsa. I think I need to download "make" for Slackware 9.1 before I try to install more software. Amigo Linux is based on the "light" version of Slackware called ZipSlack.
