Guess I might as well write something in here..
I started looking at Linux around the end of 1999, cause I wanted to set up my own web server for development. Started out using Mandrake lin4win on a Packard Bell Cyrix 300Mhz, which is godawfully slow, and I wouldn't wish it up anyone. eventually got it it's own partition, but didn't use it too much because I couldn't get the winmodem to work.
Summer of 2001, I bought my own computer, and installed Mandrake and win2k on it, and have been using Linux primarily since then, switched to Debian at some point last year, I think.
About me personally... I'm in grade 12, I live in PEI, Canada. I'm probably going to go for Electrical and Computer Engineering at Dal or UNB next year. I like individual and/or endurance sports(cross country running, biathlon).
That's about it from me... LQ looks like a nice place, so now I can start breaking things again
edit: oh yeah, forgot to mention, I used to be on LNO way back in the day when Sensei was in charge.. under the name of david. Pretty much gave that up when internet.com gave Sensei the boot, not sure if there's anyone here that remembers that place though...
