Cool Hi Everyone!

Hi all,

I'm not entirely new to linux (linux mint a few years back), but I have a lot to learn. I'm a "Round 2 of college" EE student who is just getting started after leaving the oil and gas industry that I went into after graduating my first time around. 20 years of oil and gas in Houston will make anyone crazy so I decided to do what I should have been doing all along.

That being said, I have discovered that Linux is the best system for most of the things I will be doing. I'm mainly focused on embedded systems but I also do a lot of repairs (test and measurement equipment), so I'm hoping to set up this particular machine for JTAG/Boundary-Scan testing, bitbanging, mastering Python and C/C++, and also for datalogging. That's what actually caused me to join. My parallel port is giving me the blues currently

Anyways, I look forward to learning as much as I can from everyone here and contributing what I do know.
