Hi. Just wanted to introduce myself to this community. I am an astronomer in Arizona, just started a new job, and have my very first Linux machine (after using solely Mac OS X for the past several years). I've always avoided Unix/Linux as I'm not a "computer person" and just wanted something that was easy to use. But here I am in an unfamiliar environment and looking for lots of help navigating this strange new world. Hoping I can find a supportive community here willing to help a complete novice figure this out.
I'm on a Red Hat Enterprise 6.1 distribution...and that's about as far as I've gotten so far.
