Cool Digging into embedded IoT

Hi all
I am into linux for a long time - already 25 years: bought my first Slackware 1.3 distro back in '95. Since then, I have linuxes running all the time, on various hardware. After Slackware, I used (Open)SuSE for quite some time, the finally end up with Debian.

One day, I built my own basic home automation application - including some basic hardware - to control (remotely) our heating system. These days I am digging into the microcontrollers and IoT stuff, like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Beagle Bone, ESP8266 and alike. Nowadays, I am exploring Home Assistant with Mosquitto MQTT broker as the integrating/connecting component.

I am grateful about seeing so many great things being built and rendered available for the world. Whenever I can contribute and give back to the commuity, I will be please to do so.

Cheers, Paul B
