An "old" newbie

Hi Everyone... greetings from SW Florida.

I've been here before but never posted so this is my intro. Been involved with computers for a loooonnnng time and went from Windose to a Mac about 10 years ago. Tried various spins of Linux and Fedora but never have become proficient. Trust I'll learn a lot just by browsing and reading things of interest as I make another attempt. I love the challenges to keep my mind active.

I find the internet and forums to be a great help but I sure do miss the personal interaction that was evident in the old "computer clubs" in many communities. At my age (in my 88th year) I find it much more difficult to get proficient at things just by reading.

If any of you are in the Ft Myers area and would like to meet for coffee or discussion of things Linux, please let me know.

Thanks

Thanks for the welcome... been a long time since I've seen "Sutton MA" on a thread, or anywhere else for that matter. I grew up in Worcester, left there in the 1940s to go in the service and have only been back to visit.

Thanks to both of you for the greeting!
