Hi Ferrari -- Printing
Much earlier using LP with text files and tr (?) and print I had little problems. But now with printers' capable of graphics, photo, etc. I found myself expecting those capabilities. I've used Samsung, Brother and mostly HP. Samsung was very good about supporting linux as was Brother and HP but as of late HP seems to be dropping the ball. My last purchase was a HP Deskjet 3630 All-in-One ($30) that worked with Win-7 Pro but the DVD or CD only supports Win or Apple OS X. I did a quick look at HP for linux drivers but couldn't find support -- so I'll drop my files into USB, reboot into Win's print and go. I'm at a point were my personal memory is starting to fail me so I look for the easiest way to get the job done. I use LibreOffice.

I quite understand. Sometimes the pragmatic approach is the way to go, but just so you know, that model is supported by HPLIP drivers (version 3.15.6 onwards). https://developers.hp.com/hp-linux-i..._devices/index
If you decide to pursue that, there are many here who would be happy to guide you through the install and configuration process.
