wireless connection setup program (Siemens Gigaset usb 54)

Last weekend, I bought a wireless router and a usb dongle was included (the Siemens gigaset usb 54 wireless lan adapter). I figure that I must first search for a driver, but on the Windows side, a monitor program is also included. With this monitor, you can set the SSID, the encryption and also manager some IP stuff, amongst others.

I'm wondering if there exists such a program for Linux too. Maybe a generic piece of software?

Have a look at either Wicd (my personal favorite) or wifi radar. Both of them have slackbuild scripts at and I would suggest using those to install.
