I am trying to install Cisco aironet 340 wireless cards in Linux 7.3 & make them communicate through Ad-hoc infrastructure. When i run madhoc the communication doesnt take place. I think the problem is with the wireless Card driver or the installation. I did the installation using the procedure mentioned in the linux documentation. Plz post what else cud be done.
Its not in a user's default path, if you used it as root, you probably used "su" to become root, and with bash defaults these days you keep joe user's path.
su - (the "-" re-logs you in entirely so you get root's full path)
iwconfig
If you want to type out the full path, its usually in /usr/sbin/, /usr/local/sbin/, or sometimes, /sbin/, so for instance:
