Done got myself in a fix. Trust me, I have researched this. Forums, google, re install other builds, etc. rfkill is not going to do it.
Help. My Wifi is hard blocked. There is no physical switch. I can not Fn + f5 or anything like that. I have tried (blindly) to follow all the commands posted with sudo type commands and apt-get this or that. Some of it is over my head, and some may not even be for my laptop. Dont think I have a broadcom chip. I know it is a pretty good card when it works. The mint install hosed it. Worked fine before that.
Can a Pro walk me through this. I will do a good job of posting error messages and finding stuff.
I remember trying a lot to get my wireless working. Finally, I found that Aptosid comes with ceni. That solved it nicely. You're on Mint, which (IIRC) is buntu-based and so is based on debian indirectly. So you may get that ceni script working on your system. (Aptosid is debian Sid with some few extras.)
Hopefully, you didn't get the wrong impression of this page. People here are usually quite willing to help. Don't know what happened this time. Sorry about that. (As for me, I was doing a lot of over hours at work.)
