Question Updating Orinoco Drivers

Hey guys, first post

Basically I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm trying to get monitor mode up and running. When I go to try to call 'make' in the orinoco-0.13e-SN-8 directory I get the following error:

make[1]: Entering directory '/lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target 'modules'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory '/lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build'
make: *** [modules] Error 2

I'm running Mandrake 10.1 community and I've installed the correct kernel source from the rpm.

(uname-r brings up 2.6.8.1-12mdk).

Checking out /lib/modules/2.6.8.1-12mdk/build/:

The only thing that is in there is an unbroken symbolic link (linux-2.6.8.1-12mdk@) to '/usr/src/linux-2.6.8.1-12mdk'

Hoping someone can help me out, I'm up struggle street lol.

Thanks heaps,
Ian P.

Maybe I should have made the title a little more interesting lol. Is this in the wrong section, it's not really a wireless problem... more I'm probably doing something stupid problem.
