update orinoco driver scanning


i want to ask about upgrade orinoco driver to make my wireless device do scanning.when i lsmod it output : orinoco_pci,orinoco,hermes.
when i try to patch the driver from the source kernel.it only patch orinoco & hermes and the other was failed....
what wrong.....is there any wrong with the patch

Can you update your kernel to 2.6.13-rc2?
It has the lastest 0.15 version orinoco driver....fixed my problem.
I had to download that kernel and compile it.

What kind of card do you have? Orinoco will probably do the trick, but if you want to have some real fun with wireless get hostap.
