The wlxd46e0e144362 and 0bda:8179 disappears from the output of ifconfig and lsmod respectively, when i remove the TP-LINK device, so I am guessing Ubuntu is able to detect the device.

So where is the problem then ?

I also tried to install driver as mentioned here, rebooted. And still not working.

Code:
sudo apt-get install git build-essential dkms linux-headers-generic
git clone https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu.git
sudo dkms add ./rtl8188eu
sudo dkms build 8188eu/1.0
sudo dkms install 8188eu/1.0
Thanks for any help in advance
