Ubuntu 8.04 (64-bit) wireless connectivity

Hello,

My Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop can able to detect the wireless network and reporting the available bandwidth. My wirelss router is connected to a wimax network. I can easily connect using pppoe while on a cable connect from the router to my laptop. My question is, after making the wireless network settings and the "pass phrase", is it required to do the "pppoe" connection settings again, same as with the wired connection? Or how to track down the problem for a solution?

The wireless card is showing as
eth1: Broadcom BCM4314 802.11 Wirelsss Controller 5.10.18.0

And the wl module is loaded (reported by lsmod)

Thanks in advance
Jose
