to put interface down, when wifi signals drop from certain threshold

Hi,
I am running asus pc with Xandros. I can connect to my wifi router successfully but when I switch off the router or out of signal range even then the 'Network Connections window' portrays the connection as 'enabled'.

If any body knows about some network tool which is capable of running a script on the signal drop below threshold. It would help me to run commands to activate Bluetooth PAN on the failure of wifi network

ThankYou
