SUSE 9.3 & netgear WG511

I have just installed SUSE 9.3 on my laptop and am running into difficulties with the wireless card.

I keep getting the following error when I run ifup eth1

SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such file or directory. The card doesn't even power up, no lights etc

I have checked the that the PRISM54 module is present using lsmod the firmware dirver is also present.

From looking around the forum, it seems that the error is due to an IRQ conflict.

can anyone advise how to fix this

Netgear may have changed the chipset to atheros on the WG511. Check out if this is the case, and if so, Madwifi ( http://www.madwifi.net/ ) should get you up and running in no time.
