stupid wireless issue

I got wlan installed on my laptop today and it seems? to be functioning fine:

iwconfig gives me the correct signal/ssid information, ifconfig shows that it has an IP address, and dhclient wlan0 renews the IP and even shows me the IP of my router.

The problem? It doesn't work!! Pinging the router doesn't work, pinging other computers doesn't work, the internet doesn't work.

Any help would be *greatly* appreciated, thanks!!
