Application that picks up data from wireless card

If I am right, data which is stored in the memory of the wireless card at the MAC level is transferred to a buffer skbuff after an interrupt is generated to the higher layers. Is there an application out there which can transfer this data from the wireless card into its own buffer directly from the wireless card . I am studying a few wireless issues with 802.11 and do not want to deal with all the headers due to the higher layers.

If I understand it correctly, it's all on the kernel level. Applications can't access the buffer. So I think (and may be wrong) that only a special kernel patch can help you.
