Slackware setting my default ESSID ?

Hi all,

I've googled around, read the wlan-ng and searched lq-forums, but stil haven't found the solution.

I have a Netgear MA401 card working flawlessly, IF and only IF i run the command
Code:
iwconfig eth1 essid "MYESSID"
dhcpcd eth1
I want to set this essid to be the default, so that at bootup the essid is set to "MYESSID"
I've managed to do so with kwifimanager on my previous install, but i figured: Hey I should be able to set this somewhere in a config file without the use of kwifimanager...

So does anyone know which file to adjust?

TIA

Satch

In Slack, it's /etc/pcmcia/wireless.opts
Syntax is ESSID="youressid"

If your wap is in broadcast mode set the SSID to "any" so no reconfiguration would be needed across different hotspots.

I did write my essid in there in the first place, but it doesn't get picked up.

I put the line at the case *,*,*,*) section. Or should i just put it outside the case statements ?
