Question about wireless network

Hey, i have Linksys WPC54G kit fopr notebooks and when i installed Fedora, could not connetct to net. Therefore went through newtork config and found out that need to configure as wireless, but when tried to choose Adapter, could not find my adapter. It should be PCMCIA but no Linksys drivers at all. Threfore I went to internet to search, ppl say that ndswrapper is a good thing. Here is my question:

1. I d/l to my PC on XP, how do i get it on Fedora?

Thnx

A few different options:

- if you have a wired connection, those are usually better supported, so run linux and connect to the internet with a wired connection and download directly to linux

-if you are dual-booting the laptop, you can mount the Windows partition as a drive in linux. Linux reads NTFS partitions fine, but has trouble writing. Then you could copy the file to the linux side. Do some searching here for details on how to mount an NTFS drive.

-Copy the file to removable media like a floppy, CD or USB stick and then read that from Linux. Like with the NTFS drive, you'll have to mount the removable media in Linux and searching here should give you lots of answers on how to do that.
