i am subscribing to adelphia DSL. so i need to purchase a router for that.
i have a compaq presario R3000 laptop with debian sarge and
win xp on it. i have broadcom wireless card there. and realtek ethernet card.
i need to know which router should i buy for wireless networking
for debian sarge. before the cable comes in on wednesday, i need to
purchase that

The Linksys WRT54G and WRT54GS are highly configurable in Linux (although I'm having problems setting up my GS, due to being a dumb-arse about networking)... You can get them at most Walmarts in the States...

I second that!!!! I have one running and never a problem. Easy to setup and secure. Not much money and it works great with my linux Mandrivia 2006
I recently replaced an older Linksys 802.11b router with a D-Link DI-524 and have had no problems with it. Paid around $20.00 for it from Office Depot after rebates. Setup pages are more or less the same as the Linksys setup pages. I'm running it through SBC (oops, "AT&T") DSL.
