i run Debian Etch. well i was going to my friends house, and decided to bring my tower with me(q3 lanning). i got to his house, and tryed to connect to the internet. connection to the router seems flawless with iwconfig. but there seems to be an error when sending out a dhcp request. i recieve an ip renewel (42500 seconds ). but still no internet. at first i thought it was my wireless chip site( rt2500 ), i tryed to unload the module with modprobe -r, it gave me a FATAL error saying its in use. i then got rid of the driver, and re-installed it. still the same error. i went down into my living room, and connected to my router via Ethernet. Still the same problem. any ideas? suggestions? much appreciated =]
