No wireless internet connection options in kali linux!

Hello everyone,
I have just installed kali linux on a persistent usb drive and everything works great except there are no wifi connection options anywhere! I have tried to run the command ifconfig but the terminal said "command not found". There is no wifi icon on the toolbar and I can't connect with an ethernet cable because my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port. I can boot into windows on the laptop and the wifi works fine, then I can boot back into kali and there isn't even an option to connect to wifi! Any help will be appreciated.

Spend some time on the Kali website and you will find out that Kali has no WiFi intentionally. It can be done but why not use a distro intended for normal use?

Roshan619, did you bother to read NGIB's post that appears just before yours in this thread?

Download wicd from their website onto a usb/sd or something and boot up kali.
Transfer the package over, extract and compile with the commands mentioned in the install README. (Uses python).
Once compiled and installed, open a terminal and type

wicd-client

Once it loads the gui, click "preferences"

Type in your interface in the appropriate field.

Click "ok"

Then "refresh"

Once access points are showed, choose and click "properties", and add your key.

Dont know what interface you have? Type ifconfig in a terminal and it should show wlan0 or something like that
if your drivers are detected. If not get a usb nic.
