Unhappy NIC stops working after about 4 hours

I am running SuSE 9.0 and I have a Netgear Prism based PCI wireless NIC. I'm going throug a netgear wireless router.

I got the card to work and everything was great. I noticed that after about 4 to 6 hours the card will stop working. I can then do an "/etc/rc.d/network restart" and it will start working again.

The card works fine on a win32 box and never stops.

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening and what I can to fix it?

Thanks
Jason

I had a similar problem, but with the Netgear MA401 PCMCIA card with the orinico_cs module. However, when I switched to the prism2 drivers from linux-wlan, the MA401 has worked flawlessly ever since.

Strangely, other members here have posted that they had the exact opposite results with the MA401.

I don't have the Netgear PCI wireless model, so take a grain of salt with my advice. But you might as well try the linux-wlan prism2 modules and see if they are an improvement.
