Netgear WG511 + ndiswrapper

Probably a stab in the dark... Chances of anyone answering this are slim but..

I have a WG511 card (802.11g) that I wish to get to work under slackware with my laptop.
Just wonder if anyone has any experience of the open source wrapper written to support windows drivers for wireless cards:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ndiswrapper

Any feedback well appreciated!
