Ndiswrapper not working Help!!

I have been browsing here and have tried all the solution that have been offered. I used Ndiswrapper with the bcmw15.inf driver that was on the driver cd. When i hit "modprobe ndiswrapper it says

I am new to linux but i have a feeling the solution might be simple

I am running Fedora core 4 on a Hp zv5000 series laptop

This is no simple problem. It seems ndiswrapper has a bug in the recent versions. Try going back a version and see if that helps. Lots of people are getting kernel panics trying to use ndiswrapper.

I used version 1.0 and everything seems to be ok but linux still doesnt see my network card when i try to configure it. My laptop has a button where i can turn it on and off. I have tried turning it on but i doesnt work.
